Powerful CO2 gas lasers are used at Isralaser. All Isralaser laser cutting machines have flying optic and stationary table that results in maximal cutting speed and precision.
Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation
LASER
The generator produces a concentrated beam of high power coherent light (up to 6kW). The beam is directed by a computerized (CNC) system of optical mirrors to a cutting head equipped with a focusing lens. The cutting head moves along a programmed path. Assisting gases (nitrogen, compressed air or oxygen) are used to blow out the melted material, increasing cutting speed and cut quality.
The worktables can accept raw material up to 2,000 x 4,000 mm.
Positioning accuracy is a few hundredths of a millimeter.
The method allows fast and quality cutting of practically all metals, excluding copper and silver (carbon steel up to 20 mm thick), wood and some other materials without applying any force to a workpiece or a blank. There is almost no thermal effect on the material cut.
The method allows the maximum utilization of raw material using smart planning, combining various parts on the same sheet of raw material (nesting).
